This project goes beyond a traditional cookbook design. Created by Artimi Pouroulis for her children and grandchildren, the 554-page book brings together family recipes, personal stories, photographs and artwork into a single, lasting document.
The challenge was to bring a large and varied body of content together into a clear, readable and cohesive structure, ensuring the book remained easy to navigate while preserving its personal and informal tone.
I designed a layout system that balanced consistency and flexibility, allowing different types of content, recipes, images, handwritten notes and illustrations, to sit comfortably alongside each other without losing clarity. Careful attention was given to pacing, typography and hierarchy to ensure the book could be read and used over time.
The result is a thoughtfully designed publication that preserves a family’s history in a practical and accessible format, turning a deeply personal collection into something that can be shared and used across generations.
